Merry Christmas!

Hello loves!
Okay, I posted very long last time, so this one will be short (I hope!).

Anyway, to catch up a bit on what I've been doing: Mostly making Christmas goodies. :D I've made covered pretzels, peppermint bark (two batches), peanut butter cups, white chocolate peanut clusters, peppermint fudge, dark chocolate fudge, and I helped decorate Christmas cookies yesterday! We made up tray's and took them to our library and firehouse, eye doctor and dentist (ironic, eh?) offices, we also gave some to the mail lady (Miss Donna, she's really nice), and we'll give some to the UPS man if we can catch him and to our drycleaner! :) That's kept me somewhat busy, but I've had plenty of time to relax too! I've taken up reading again and I expect that I'll be pretty much useless until I finish the series that I'm currently working on. I've also been making Christmas cards and gifts!

Christmas is kind of strange for us this year. Dad's been in Arizona since the second of the month and won't get home until the 27th, bit of a bummer! Mike is still at Stillwater (about an hour away) because he wants to try and get a job there for when he's not doing school or studying. So our family is down to 5 temporarily. Anyway, we'll be celebrating our nomal Christmas stuff (special meals, gifts ect.) on the 29th. Not too much of a big deal. Truth be told, I was pretty upset when I came home and found out, but I determined to have a good attitude about it. Then the other night we were watching a Christmas movie that starts out with our soldiers in the Middle East. One of the buddies of the main character died in an explosion. Right before Christmas too! I felt pretty ashamed of myself! My Dad is coming home only two days after Christmas. Some family's won't see their loved ones at all, and don't even know if they'll make it back safely. It was a pretty sobering thought...

I want to leave you all with a well know Christmas verse with an added emphasis:
Isaiah 9:6
"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder (notice that my God only needs one shoulder for the weight of governing the whole universe?): and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."
In this season that can get so busy and hectic and crazy busy, let us remember that our Father bears the vast universe on His shoulder and wants to be your Prince of Peace.
